Getting Started

Once you have installed the plugin, you can start adding media to your vault.

The plugin adds multiple commands that allow you to search for and import media into your vault.

Section titled “Basic Search”

The Create Media DB entry command allows you to search all in the settings enabled APIs for one media type.

  1. Enter the title you want to search for
  2. Choose the media type you want to search

Selecting Results

After making your search, a new pop-up will open with the search results.

  1. Browse through the results from different APIs
  2. Select the results you want
  3. The plugin will create new notes in your vault with the metadata

The created notes will contain all the metadata from the selected search results, formatted according to your template settings.

Other Search Methods

Section titled “Other Search Methods”
  • Create Media DB entry (<media type>) allows you to select specific APIs to search, regardless of your configured APIs in the plugins settings page
  • Create Media DB entry by id allows you to search a specific API via an ID. For details on how to find IDs for each API, see the individual API reference pages.
  • Create Media DB entry (advanced search) allows you to search all media type simultaneously, while being able to select which APIs to query.
